HR92 thread totally mangled

Post by MisterBoy »

I fitted an additional HR92 to a new radiator a few weeks ago, all good. Until yesterday I noticed it was no longer straight but tilting... looking more closely it just come off when I touched it and the white plastic screw thread had become really distorted. I can't think anyone had been near it to knock it - it's in my office - so I wondered if it could've done this to itself!

Anyway do you guys stock a replacement part? I'm pretty sure it's from your store (I will check) maybe you can even send one out? I managed to bodge it for now but I'm dubious it's suddenly going to fall off again.

Thanks for any help.

I had the same thing happen in one of the bedrooms. Decided to order a replacement, rather than complain. If you want to order a replacement, you can find it here:

If it was fitted correctly and the TRV thread was M30x1.5 the same as the valve base plate, I can't really see how this would have occurred? I have HR92's that are nearly 5 years old that were beta trial models still operational at my Mum's house with no issues. So, no I'm a bit confused TBH...
