EvoHome Wall Mounting Kit - longer cable

I have just bought EvoHome Wall Mounting Kit but unfortunately the cable between the wall mounting kit and the AC-DC Power Supply connector is to short. I was searching for a longer cablein many different places such as Maplins, B&Q, electrical supplies stores etc. but no one has a longer cable. I was wondering if anyone faced a similar issue and was able to source a longer cable?
The plan B is to extend the cable but it will be good to have a 'proper' cable. To be honest I am a bit disappointed that Honeywell doesn’t have a longer cable available in their store…

I extended mine by about 20cm using some thin wires that I had for random electronic hobby projects, soldered and protected by heat-shrink tubing. It works fine.
