HR92 and zone valve [again] - figure 4

Seems that this is a recurring topic.
And i am really a newbie on this topic, therefore "junction box", "V4073", and even meaning of pump is unknown to me... (isn't the pump within the boiler?)

Seems that figure 4 in page 43 of the manual is the best driving graphic.

I had a similar problem with my set up. The problem lies with using the bdr91 as a boiler relay. You need to change this setting to boiler control NONE. Then rebind hr92s and it will give you the option at the end to rebind the heating bdr91 as a valve actuator. Remember to clear any previos binding. It may also prompt you to reconfigure your hot water set up. I have a 2 zone set up heating and hot water. When my hw came on it in turn fired up the heating bdr91until i made this change.

Current system is based on 2 different zone thermostat, on two different floor, linked with the zone valve.
When one of the two thermostat is "on", then
1) boiler start
2) zone valve is open
(well, i do not know what really trigger what, it may be that the thermostat trigger the zone valve and the zone valve trigger the boiler.

What i would accomplish is:
- HR92 in all of the radiators
- something that keep the two zone valve (BDR91?)

What i would image something like:
- HR92 trigger the zone valve (and i have to bind each HR92 to one zone valve controller)
- zone valve controller trigger the boiler

Or:
- HR92 trigger the evohome controller
- evohome controller trigger the zone valve (i have to bind each HR92 to one zone valve controller)
- evohome controller trigger the boiler

Do this make sense?
How to accomplish this configuration?
Which wire and which wireless connections has to be done?

Hi Daniele,

I am not really here to advise of how evohome should be installed or what wire goes where. To be honest if you need to know the level of detail you are asking, maybe the installation should be done by a competent installer who does this for a living?

The best installation method for evohome is Figure 4 on Page 43 of the evohome Installation Guide, which if you are putting HR92's on all radiators means any existing heating motorised zone valves in an S Plan or S Plan Plus system would be 'bypassed'. There is more to this such as the need for a 'bypass' circuit and existing radiator valve compatibility, but there is more detail on this at the top of The EVOHOME Shop's website under the 'Information & Help' tab.

The evohome Installation Guide does detail a lot of things (as does our customer only area), but there are a lot of details you must understand to have a successful evohome Installation.
