Hi Guys,

I’m just looking to get some help with wiring the BDR91's and replacing our existing ember EPH controls system.

Basically we have a S Plan System which has a Gas boiler ( Ideal Logic System 24) that requires a permanent live and a stored Hot Water cylinder. There are 2 x 230v Valve’s ( for HW and Heating ).
http://www.ephcontrols.com/product/2-port-compression/

What would be the best wiring for the above as we will be using the HR92 to control all zones and the hot water kit.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Sean,

S Plan wiring is on Page 46 of the evohome Installation Guide - this is the only way to wire evohome on a gas boiler when keeping S Plan.

Binding an S Plan system is then covered under the customer video section here - https://theevohomeshop.co.uk/forum/view ... ?f=12&t=29

I hope that helps.

Thanks,

Richard 8-)

Hi, I have a similar set up to this but I am having problems setting up the central heating side.
I have managed to sort the hot water side but I am struggling with setting up the heating relay box to open the heating valve.
I have turned off the boiler control, and tried re-binding but I seem to have a setting wrong.
The link to the video further up in this post no longer exists.
HELP I am starting to pull my hair out.
Best wishes to all
Michael

Well I think I have found the setting I am looking for, having trolled the internet I eventually ended up on the Honeywell site and in one of their support page and found this:-

On the evohome Controller
1 Press and hold SETTINGS for 5 seconds
2 Press the green tick
3 Press SYSTEM DEVICES
4 Press STORED HOT WATER
5 Press ENABLED
6 Press HOT WATER VALVE BINDING or HEATING VALVE BINDING

On the Wireless Relay Box (Hot water and/or Heating valve)
7 Press and hold the button for 15 seconds (until the red LED blinks rapidly) to
clear any previous binding data
8 Press and hold the button again for 5 seconds (until the red LED blinks slowly)

On the evohome Controller
9 Press the bind button
You should receive a SUCCESS message on the evohome Controller and the LED on the Wireless Relay Box should stop blinking and turn OFF. If not, go back and re-bind.

I missed it initially as I thought this area was to deal with the hot water channel, I wasn't expecting to find the central heating under the same area????
Anyhow I am pleased I found this area and I suspect it is what I need........
I hope it helps someone else..........
Good luck everyone
Best wishes
Michael

Can I just say many thanks for this. Having spent best part of a day not understanding how to enable heating - this was the fix. What a strange place to put that setting.
