New System Design - Help please

Post by huwross »

Hi All

I need some help. Previous experience with a basic Honeywell Evohome kit with a few rads. Now trying to do everything at a new place. Wet UFH, CH, ELectric UFH and HWC. Re wiring going on so have an opportunity to go belt and braces.

This is the system I am proposing in terms of components.

1. Evohome controller
2. 10 off HR91 (8 zones)
3. 2 off wired room stats (DT4) - Wet UFH
4. 1 off wireless room stat - electric UFH.
5. HWC Transceiver and Sensor
6. 3 off BDR91 - Boiler, HWC and eUFH.
7. Wiring centre.

How does that sound?

A few questions I have specifically.

1. Is it ok to use a standard wireless stat with a warmup eUFH? Rated at 3Amps?
2. Do I have right number or BDR91s?!
3. Where do I wire the room stats and BDR91s? Is this the central wiring centre located near boiler?
4. How do I position BDR91s so they don’t interfere? High level on top of cabinets? 500mm apart?
5. Any benefit of wired over wireless stats? Trying to go cheap with wired. Easy to run a cable.
6. What does the wiring centre actually look like for this setup?

A big thanks in advance.

Sadly, I don't think anyone is going to spend their time advising and designing a system for you for free? Maybe get an evohome Connected Specialist to come and give you a quote? - https://www.resideo.com/gb/en/find-a-pro/

Our website has a bit of guidance here - https://thesmartthermostatshop.co.uk/wh ... r-my-home/

Then maybe read this for a technical overview of the system - https://thesmartthermostatshop.co.uk/ev ... elp-guide/

You can always contact Resideo on 0300 130 1299 to discuss an evohome system design.
