Have had Evohome installed for 5 years or so - mostly been really pleased, but i have killed a couple of HR92s
the ones i've killed have invariably been on the large vertical towel rail in one of the shower rooms that gets really quite humid.
So what do i use to control the system in that room? going to an old fashioned trv would be a really shame in that room as its used randomly, so being able to turn the heating on and off in that zone alone is really handy!
Which sensor for a humid bathroom?
Re: Which sensor for a humid bathroom?
Don't use HR's for towel rads. Towel rads inevitably have wet towels and are no environment for electronic devices. Towel rads are designed to be turned on and off by hand (hence they are normally fitted with hand wheel valves). They are normally undersized for a bathroom anyway, so putting HR's on them affects performance of the system, especially when running OpenTherm.
