Temperature logging and usage logs

Hello I am interested in trying to log the temperatures in each room and when the valves call for heat and for how long. Anyone used any of the GitHub codes and get them to work?

A few people use Domoticz or Home Assistant for this, but evohome is server polling unless you use a HGI80 (very hard to get hold of now) or one of the 868MHz sniffers that have built on Home Automation forum.
