After phone call I have just had the latest firmware (19.33) pushed onto my Evohome controller (ATC928G3000), all went well and it rebooted but I can't see any of the expected new features yet. The one I was after in particular is the weather compensation but I still only get the "delayed start/stop" options in the optimisations menu. Have I missed anything or is there something else I need to do to? I've obviously made the assumption that the 3000 model can get all the new features?
Thanks,
Peter

I can now answer my own question in case anybody runs into the same issue... rebooting didn't sort it but disconnect/connect to Wifi fixed it. As soon as the outside temperature came up the Smart Features appeared
Re: New firmware but no new features?
Yep, the 'smart features' rely on the internet connection.peterhaban wrote:I can now answer my own question in case anybody runs into the same issue... rebooting didn't sort it but disconnect/connect to Wifi fixed it. As soon as the outside temperature came up the Smart Features appeared

Re: New firmware but no new features?
As well as an internet connection to Honeywell there is at least one other connection required, possibly to Accuweather, to allow the outside temperature to be displayed (and hence smart features to be available). This is what I'm having trouble with at the moment. So far I've narrowed it down to my internet firewall - with a personal hotspot from my phone it works fine.

Re: New firmware but no new features?
I installed my Evohome system about six months ago. Last week I was abroad on holidays and I switched off the away mode remotely, before returning home. When I got home the wifi controller appeared to have been reset and was looking for the wifi password. When I entered it the system had lost all bindings, other than to the BDR relay and the rad that used the controller for temperature.
Resideo support reckon that the system was reset, but cannot explain why this happened. I'm wondering whether this could have been caused by the latest firmware update being pushed, as I appear to have all the latest features.

Re: New firmware but no new features?
It could well have been. I have seen this occur before with a firmware push (although it shouldn't).Clareman wrote:Resideo support reckon that the system was reset, but cannot explain why this happened. Re: New firmware but no new features?
Interested in this - I'm on the latest firmware but although there is weather optimisation available I cannot see any outside temperature displayed. Should I be able to see it anywhere?
Re: New firmware but no new features?
Should be, but maybe the local weather station data is not working properly? Contact Resideo for support.
