New install question

I have had a set of Evohome TRV's installed for the past couple of years and they have worked well in terms of keeping my heating bills down. Heating demand was driven by the thermostat in the living room (which has no TRV fitted) and other rooms were brought up to temperature if they required it, as long as the living room thermostat was creating a demand. Whilst I had a controller none of the Evohome kit was connected to the boiler as I was intending to replace it.
We have since had the old Worcester 24sbi replaced with an Ideal Logic Max S24 and had the Evohome controller, a Hot Water Kit and another BDR91 installed alongside.
Now all the TVR's appear to create demand (if the room they are in is under temperature) with the result that the living room is roasting! Whilst this seems logical and my wife loves it, I am not sure how to address the problem. Can I fit a TRV to the living room radiator, potentially leaving none open, or can this be addressed programmatically on the controller?
Thanks in advance.
note: I am not a plumber or the plumber that did the install and I did kind of lumber him with the Evohome system knowing that he had not fitted one prior. Please answer as if talking to a simpleton.
note: CS92 Thermostat and Transceiver in airing cupboard, x2 BDR91's next to boiler (controlling valves for HW & CH), Controller ATC928, x7 HR924 TRV's
