New evohome user question

Post by Classmaz »

Hello
I had a new evohome system installed just before Christmas. The system consists of a Worcester Bosch life 8000 heat only boiler with two 2 port valves and 2 BDR91 (1 heating, 1 hot water) with 11 zones controlled by 12 HR92s.

I am noticing that my boilers demand for heating is never satisfied. Even if I manually turn all 12 HR92’s to off.

I am noticing that the heating BDR91 is green with a flashing red light. My understanding is one of the 12 HR92 is not communicating back properly. I have done a signal test and every radiator valve is saying excellent signal.

Any tips on how to resolve the issue would be appreciated.

Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike

I have just installed similar and am no expert at all, but do you have the boiler control connected along with the hot water?

This caused me issues on the S plan two port valve. Basically the boiler should not be connected, you should just set up hot water only: - Check settings / system devices. Boiler control should be 'None'. If this is connected along with hot water it is effectively double bound.

Remove the boiler control/ go to stored hot water then bind the hot water temperature sensor, hot water zone valve BDR91 and heating zone valve BDR91 when prompted. Do not try to bind anything else to these BDR91's - when it asks if you want to connect boiler - say no.

I hope this may help
