Hi,I’ve got the Honeywell evohome system installed with hr92 on all radiators 12 in total. I’ve also got a automatic bypass valve installed. Can somebody give me some advice if it’s best to keep one radiator without trv cos that’s the advice I was given when I had my boiler serviced by an engineer his exact words your boiler will last longer long term. I thought you could have hr92 on all radiators so your not wasting any heat. Please tell me if I’m wrong. If I did take one hr92 off the radiator every time one zone calls for heat that will come on also and when the valves are closing it will have somewhere for the water to go so it will act as a bypass is that correct.

I had my system installed two years ago,as I wanted HR92s on all radiators,the plumber installed a automatic bypass valve.
The system has worked well,I like you did not want to waste energy.I believe the common way of having no bypass valve is use a towel rail,this I did not want.

A boiler needs a minimum flow rate through its heat exchanger to function correctly, and an Automatic Bypass Valve (ABV) is one method of achieving this. As long as you have an ABV fitted and set correctly, you are compliant and can have HR91/HR92 on all radiators.
