Optimum start and end

Post by Jimbo100 »

I am new to evohome and think its a nice system. I'm having a few teething problems at the moment but hopefully have them sorted soon. how is everyone getting on with the optimum start and stop. Is it worth having switched on?

Optimum Start and Stop are the 'learning' characteristics of the evohome system, so essential if you want the system to be intelligent and save you money over the last system.

My top tips...

Only allow the evohome system to have 1 hour initially during the learning phase for Optimum Start.

Optimum Stop is essential as it will end the heating demand early if the system thinks it can still maintain setpoint till the end of the demand window.

I had to totally unbind a HR92UK as I have been having problems with it overriding to 35°. I was told by Honeywell to totally unbind and delete the zone and the. Re-bind creating a new zone. This seems to have stopped the overriding issue. I have just noticed that the optimum stop didn't switch on for that zone tonight. Would that be because the HR92UK has to totally re-learn again?
