S-Plan Plus

Post by WRS »

We are buying a house with two heating zones and hot water.
You state that
The evohome Installation Guide page 42 & 43 shows the possible evohome configurations and as you can see S Plan Plus is not in there (hence Figure 4 is recommended with HR92's on all radiators).

If correct, how would the evohome system be connected so that heating demand from a TRV in either zone will fire up the boiler?

Alternatively, could I just leave the two heating zones on the original timed controls, and just use evohome to control the TRVs - ie set the temperature for different rooms at different times? I appreciate the pump would be running whenever either zone is 'on'.

Thanks,

William

Do I take from the absence of replies that using evohome on an S-plan plus system is not possible?

Hi,

Sorry for the absence of a reply.

S Plan Plus is a possible configuration, but only when controlled with Single Zone Thermostats. If you use HR92's, then they need to be fitted to all radiators and the zone valves will then become defunct (removed). The evohome system needs to be in control, not a 3rd party system.

I hope that helps?
