So I have had Evohome for 2 years. It Works well in its basic form but it not a smart system by any means.
The main issue is you have ONE and only one Custom schedule. That is awful in 2019. And you cannot add more in any way.
The built-in modes are not useful - the day off mode just copies a normal set day - Saturday by default.
Examples I would have...
Guest mode. Leaves the rest of house the same - changes one or more rooms to its own Schedule.
Working from home mode - Offices
Baby sleeping - Set just the nursery to 21.
Up a degree... turns every room up 1 degree and keeps it in the schedule daily for that time period until changed.
Adaptive if the temperature outside drops 5 degrees up the temp by 1 degree.
I bought Evohome as it was supposed to be controllable within Smart Things Home automation. But that has never happened and it is still on the Roadmap 3 years later. There is a beta plugin someone had done but it's not working anymore - or it takes some changes in the code to get it to work.
Can anyone recommend any way this sort of thing might be achievable?
