Evohome supported with Viessmann Vitodens 111-w

Post by malbertone »

Hi,
New to this forum, looked for the model of the heater in the search option and could not find it, so I apologise if missed something.
Question is if this model from Viessmann is completely supported with Evohome via Opentherm interface.
The manufacturer refers to Opentherm in a vague manner so not sure if any official testing was made by Honeywell on this side
I was going to replace the heating system in a new apartment so looking around for options, while about the thermostat was almost convinced about Evohome ecosystem.
Thanks

Also the question may be reversed to: which is the best option when choosing a modulating combo condensing heater/bolier compatible with Evohome via opentherm, and able to provide at most 35kw?
I live in Italy, the heater would be placed on a balcony, eventually protected in a cabinet, with temp ranges -5°+35°C.
Thanks for any advice

I would suggest Intergas boilers as your choice for use with Honeywell evohome... I believe they are sold in Italy! 8-)

Thanks a lot for your reply, checking on the web can see they are available in Italy.
Was thinking also about a Daikin D2C product, but will consider the Intergas as well, since according to the specs is the one more clearly advertising the opentherm interface.

Really appreciated your input!
