Brd91 issues

Morning,

For maybe the past week I’ve been having issues with getting my heating to turn on. I believe the issue to be with the brd91 but not 100%.

At the moment it is flashing red 5 times in a row but finest do it for a while and flashes again not really any pattern to it. I can turn the heating on via the evohome controller and I can’t turn the heating on via the button on the brd91.

If I reset and re bind the brd91 the heating kicks in but it stays on and the only way to turn off is to kill the power to the brd91. Since this has been happening only two things have changed:

I’ve changed my broadband and I’ve turned the electric off via the main consumer unit to carry out some work on the house.

I only mention the broadband as the app says the communication has been lost.

Any suggestions?

Well the evohome systems own proprietary RF system is nothing to do with the broadband connection so you can rule this out.

Maybe engage with a heating engineer who is a Honeywell Connected Specialist to come and have a look for you? You wouldn't believe the amount of people who ring us when the heating doesn't work assuming it is evohome but its not...

Yes I didn’t think broadband would have made any different but thought I’d mention it.

Right I came home from work and for the first time in about a week the heating is working as normal??! Only thing changed was the living room HR80 needed resyncing. But other than that all seems fine can turn heating on bvia evohome controller and manual override on the brd91!
