New Boiler and Cylinder + Evohome

Post by snake007uk »

Hi,

We are currently at the start of our home renovation, new extension, dormer all new plumbing etc.....

I really want to get the EvoHome setup and since I will be ordering a new system boiler and cylinder, I thought it would be good to ask which one to get, so there are no issues with evohome installation.

Plan was to get the Vaillant EcoTec Plus 630 System boiler and the Unistor 300L Indirect unvented cylinder.

Assuming all the TRV's connect to the home wifi then signal should not be a problem, the boiler and and tank are to located in the outhouse (10m away from the back of the house) however the entire house (including the outhouse will have complete wifi coverage. Just to confirm the outhouse is a cavity walled, fully insulated building. We will be using it as an office space.

Appreciate any advice anyone can provide.

Valliant don't work very well with evohome since they are not OpenTherm compatible and Vaillant UK have banned the OpenTherm converter from the UK market...

I would go with an Intergas boiler and a Joule cylinder... Both great products and work great with each other - https://TheIntergasShop.co.uk 8-) If you need help with spec, please let me know.
