Hi,
After some advice please... I've a new S plan system with heat only boiler unvented Telford Tempest Cylinder. Initially the installer has fitted BDR91 to each of the 2 port valves and the CS92 with probe to the Cylinder Thermostat Pocket. Also HR92s on all rads. The issue we have is that we can't also fit the 'dual stat' which is supplied with the cylinder (read everywhere that this is a must because of the upper limit cut-out). There just isn't room.
So I've resigned to a rethink and intend to keep a single BDR91 for the CH and for the hot water fit the manufacturer supplied dual stat which will be operated using a single channel wired Honeywell programmer (basically making the EH hot water kit redundant). My question is will the wiring for the remaining BDR91 need to be changed or left as currently setup? Also how would we bind devices for this scenario? Should it be setup as a boiler relay...
Any advice/help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Richard

Re: S plan system help
The evohome hot water kit will work with a Telford Tempest... You can get all 3 probes in the same stat pocket or at least I could when I was fitting them... Tell your installer to try harder!RHOME wrote:The issue we have is that we can't also fit the 'dual stat' which is supplied with the cylinder (read everywhere that this is a must because of the upper limit cut-out). Great, I'll give that a go!
I've also spoken to Telford who have advised that you can remove the adjustable side of the dual stat (leaving the high limit only) to create the required space and wire in series. We've a couple of options there so will give it a go.

Excellent... Nice to hear Telford aren't as stick in the mud as some of them!RHOME wrote:Great, I'll give that a go!
