HR92 - "Valve E2" Message

Post by edteamslr »

Hi,

One of the valves that arrived only reverts to a message of "E2 VALVE" when left for a while. I have bound it to zone before I fitted it to the radiator and it is appears to be correctly showing other data items on the screen.

What does this error mean and will it necessitate and return?

The message doesn't stop appearing after installed on the radiator but the temp display appears to work. I don't recall hearing the motor actuate at all but I could be wrong. I have a load of other ones and they don't do this.

Take the valve base plate out of the HR92 and then lock the locking catch. When the CYCL shows on the screen, is the black gear cog inside the HR92 rotating? If so the valve base plate is broken, if not the HR92 is broken. Either way, give us a call and we will resolve for you. 8-)

Hi,
Quick reply! Instructions followed. The black cog does not rotate. When I shut the locking catch and waited, the CYCL did not show. I tried binding it to a fake zone because I remember the others did CYCL when I was setting them up. it showed SYNC briefly but it now makes sense that I haven't ever heard the motor/gears working on this one.

Ed
