Single Zone Thermostat for underfloor heating problems

Hoping someone can help with this.

I have the evohome system that includes the controller, thermostat radiator valves (HR924UK) and a single valve thermostat (Y87RF2024) to control the underfloor heating.

My radiator valves are sync'd to the controller which is bound to one BRD91 unit and that system works perfectly well. However, my underfloor heating has a separate BDR91 unit and that is bound to the single zone thermostat. However I can't sync it to the controller. When I manage to sync it to the controller, it loses its binding to the BRD91 unit.

I have read the instruction manuals about a million times and I am probably missing something obvious, but could someone point me in the right direction as to how I can use the single valve thermostat in conjunction with the controller.

I am not a professional on any level so any advice in laymans terms would be massively appreciated :)

Thanks,

Robert

I'm not sure why your ufh unit is bound independently to a BDR91 and Y87RF. Why not maker the evo controller the central command point for the ufh, rather than try to have it control is own BDR91 and sensor. The ufh system unit has its own take off to control a pump or relay so you shouldn't need to use a BDR91. E.g unbind everything, create a zone on the controller, and then bind the Y87RF as sensor and the ufh unit as actuator.

Robert, the 'UFH' needs to be bound to the evohome Controller as a 'Zone Valve' zone.

When you pair it to the evohome controller using 'ADD ZONE' it will remove the pairing between the two devices and repair as 'slaves' to the 'master' evohome Controller. Page 20 of the evohome Installation Guide will help you here.

Thanks,
