EVOHOME Heating and Hot Water System.

Post by Devon Red »

Hi,
Just completed a new EVOHOME installation, controlling both the Central Heating and the stored Hot Water systems.
The system uses a mid port valve (Honeywell Y Plan).

When the demand is for Heating, the appropriate BDR91 is energised (green).
When there is call for Hot Water only, both the BDR91s are energised.

Is this correct?
I was expecting only the Hot Water BDR91 to be energised.
I have followed both the installation guides and YouTube videos, with the same result.

Any help gratefully received.

Your evohome system has not been setup correctly for the heating system type you have got. Unless you have a 3x wireless relay system (oil boiler for instance) then you should not be using a 'boiler control' relay with a Y Plan system.

As you are a customer of ours, you can have access to our customer help videos. This one will help in particular - http://theevohomeshopforum.co.uk/viewto ... ?f=12&t=29

You need to set 'BOILER CONTROL' to 'NONE' under the 'SYSTEM DEVICES' tab in the 'INSTALLATION MENU' (press and hold 'SETTINGS' button for +3 seconds) before following my video.

I hope that helps.

Thanks,

Hi Sam,

I have updated the link, as we had to change servers but all the videos are in the videos section.

Thanks,

Richard
