Controlling fan of the coil in a separate zone

Post by pezzinyCZ »

Hello everyone,

could you please check whether the configuration shown in attached image is possible or not with evohome?

Config:

config.jpg (39.28 KiB) Viewed 196 times
* Two rooms (zones), one boiler, one evohome central unit.
* Room1 temperature in controlled by HR92 switching "boiler relay" BDR91
* Room2 temperature is controlled by switching on/ff of the fan coil. For this purpose "fan coil" BDR91 is installed and paired with T87RF room temp sensor. Room2 setpoint has to be controllable by the central unit via T87RF. I.e. If the temperature in Room2 is below setpoint, the central unit has to send ON signal to "boiler relay" BDR91 and, at the same time, the T87RF in Room2 has to send signal ON to "fan coil" BDR91.

Can be such configuration handled by single Evohome central unit? Or is there other configuration option available by evohome?

Thanks,
Petr Pekarek

Hi Peter,

What you propose above will work.

evohome has a 'Zone Valve' option as a zone which will allow a BDR91 to be used to power the fan convector and a thermostat in the room (all controlled by evohome).

I hope that helps.

Thanks,

Richard

Hi Richard,

Based on your reply, me and three friends of mine have purchased evohome system to our homes. We have been amazed by
* quick and easy installation+setup
* apple/android app great functionality over both intranet and internet
* Very intuitive zone schedule config, easy day copy feature
* great overall performance :-)

Compared to my old heating control system the commissioning was really a piece of cake. However, there are some topics that I would like to clarify. But I will open separate forum thread for that purpose.

Good luck to you and all Evohome team,

Cheers,
Petr
