I've just started having this issue with one of my HR92s but I've seen it with one of my others a couple years ago and I just replaced it.
I first noticed that my bedrooms temperature was randomly being manually set to 5 or 20 occasionally
With a toddler in the house I assumed it was him messing around with them. But last night the TRV kept lighting up randomly and I noticed that the temperature was being set to different temperatures by itself. Alsmot like a ghost was turning the dial.
All.jokes aside I've had to disconnect the TRV for now. I left it with the batteries removed last night and the issue is still there so I'll try resetting to factory and reminding now.
Not sure if anyone else has encountered this.

Re: ghost temperature changes on hr92
Anything like this needs a bit of a look from the back end or some data monitoring to get to the bottom of.

Re: ghost temperature changes on hr92
have you checked all trvs for battery status? on the automated home forum we had many discussions about ghost temp changes and eventually narrowed it down to one or more (could be any of them) trv in the system with low battery not fully sending its data to/from the controller and effectively it "spooked" the system and caused another unrelated zone to change its temp!! So first thing to do is make sure all trvs in the house have good condition batteries in them
Re: ghost temperature changes on hr92
I had a similar issue. Even replacing the HR92 could not fix it ! I contacted Resideo support, tried a few things (reboot, disabling windows open mode, etc.) and in the end it was fixed by bringing the Evohome thermostat closer to the room where those ghost temperature changes were happening. Weird.
Re: ghost temperature changes on hr92
Hi,
disable "local override" in the ATC driver settings for your HR92. If temperature changes are caused by damage to some electronic component in HR92, the above setting on the control unit can stop such changes.
