Hot ~~Water and Heating not working at the same time

Hello,

Having an issue with a recently acquired Evohome. The system consists of hr92's on each radiator and a CS92 stat for the hot water. There are two valves with BDR91's one for the hot water and the other for heating.

The issue is I can select heating and it works as expected, I can also select hot water which also works as expected.

However, if the hot water calls for heat, the heating is shut down until the cylinder demand is met when the heating then resumes.

Not sure if this is a configuring issue or wiring?

The original installer has disappeared so looks like I will have to find the solution to this.

I decided upon the Evohome because I am blind and I can control the functions using the app with speech although, I now realise that some options can only be set using the controller but once it is all working, I think that won't be too much of an issue.

OK, so I am replying to myself here, just in case it helps some one else.

Turns out that my issue was that hot water priority was selected which meant that each time the hot water cylinder called for heat, the heating shut down. Also, because the boiler temperature was set low, the hot water never got up to the set temperature in the Evohome so we had long periods without heat.

All seems to be working now except for one zone not being added to custom which I will create a new subject for.
