Evohome Controller last all sync with everything

Post by earlyadopter »

Hi All,

Just found this forum and wanted to share my problem with the well initiated in the Evohome product.

I've had a set up for about 13 years now, well at least it feels like it. And over time i know that the Evohome system can be fickle to say the least!

I have 3 x BRD91 connected to the system 1 controls the boiler for the room stats, 1 controls the underfloor heating via Y87RF2024 and 1 connecting to the hot water sensor.

But the other day my controller started on a journey i've not travelled before. it lost all connectivity (sync) with all thermostats and the 3 x BRD9's (the 3 BRD91's all had their solid red lights on.

so i dropped out the batteries and powered down the controller and put them back in 10 minutes later. everything started to work, but the temperature on the hot water is wrong by some distance. display show 30deg, but its more like boiler temperature.

all other zones are now in sync, but this zone still has an issue.

any ideas please would be much appreciated.

Hi,

Well evohome Gen 1 came out in 2010 (ATC928G1000) so does feel like it some days. :)

evohome in my experience is only fickle when things aren't bound correctly, setup correctly or batteries not changed at regular intervals.

Have you changed the CS92A batteries? Normally this is the device that causes issues when the batteries go flat.
