A few weeks ago I bought a DTS92 from smartthermostatshop for my lounge to act as a zone sensor, and it works just fine. I bought a couple more plus a T87RF for other problematic area's and seem to have an issue with one of them.
Lounge (DTS92) - Setpoint 16.0 - Sensor Displays 16.0 - Controller reads 16.0 - Independent thermometer reads 16.0
Bedroom 2 (DTS92) - Setpoint 16.0 - Sensor Displays 16.0 - Controller reads 16.0 - Independent thermometer reads 16.0
Kitchen (T87RF) - Setpoint 16.0 - Sensor Displays 16.0 - Controller reads 16.0 - Independent thermometer reads 16.1 (close enough!)
Bedroom 1 (DTS92) - Setpoint 16.5 - Sensor Displays 17.0 - Controller reads 16.5 -Three Independent thermometers all read 16.0
I've noticed that with the Kitchen and lounge, sometimes what is displayed on the sensor, and what's reported back to the evohome controller differs by 0.5, but generally they are in agreement. Bedroom 1 however is consistently out of whack. I've tried unbinding and rebinding, I'm aware that sometimes if you bind then sensor, and then the HR92 actuator, sometimes it reverts to reading the HR92 and not the sensor. So having having set everything up I've rebound the DTS92 as the sensor. To be sure I tried moving the HR92 to a different (colder) room and the temperature reported on the controller did not change, so looks like it is reading from the DTS92.
I suppose I could try swapping the DTS92 over with one from another room, and see if the problem transfers across. It's a bit of a pain though.
Is it possible the DTS92 is defective ?
DTS92 Accuracy
Re: DTS92 Accuracy
Very unlikely it would be defective. Need to bear in mind accuracy is 0.5C resolution.
