ATC928G2000 / G3000 Difference and heating non Smart TRVs

Post by jimbomcbob »

I have ended up with 8 Hr92s and a G2000 with a wifi bridge coming this week for install next week.

Is there much difference in functionality between the 2000 and 3000 models? I am looking to simply set up zones in the bedrooms upstairs and main rooms downstairs.

Also, as we have a conservatory with old rads at the moment they will remain on old trvs and on frost setting most of the winter. If I want to heat the room up with normal (non Smart!) trvs is this still possible? Can I put the G2000 in the room and set the boiler to heat to say 21 degrees using the thermostat in the G2000 (if it has one)? If not would the G3000 enable me to do this?

Thanks for any help anyone can give!

When you setup a system with smart TRV's its not possible to use evohome in a room without smart TVR control, unless that zone is zoned off with a zone valve and operated by a BDR91.

G2000 model is Pre-2015 and is missing lots of features the G3000 model has (but still better than most heating controllers on the market).
