Boiler turning on even when Evohome is off

Post by edstrong »

Does anyone have any idea why my boiler fires up from time to time even though I have all rooms and the hot water turned off?
It's not cold inside at the moment so surely not a frost-protection setting in the boiler? I'll try to work out how often and for how long it comes on if that would help.

Ta.

One of the HR92's out of calibration or needs a reboot?

Have a look under the 'SYSTEM SUMMARY' menu in the 'INSTALLATION MENU' (3+ second 'SETTINGS' button press), to see if there are any demands there?

Thanks for the advice. There is a red warning triangle in the "Boiler Control - Wireless Relay Box" column and the display does show an error from time to time "Comms Fault - Boiler Relay". Not sure what I can do about this though.

If your boiler controler (BDR91) loses comms with the main evohome controller and you have failsafe enabled then the BDR91 will cycle the boiler on/off in a 20/80 pattern
Go into evohome controller settings and disable failsafe

Sounds like the system is not configured correctly. Give Resideo technical a call (number in my signature choose option 3) and they should be able to assist you. :geek:
