Adding UFH to Evohome

Post by huwross »

Hi
I bought an Essentials kit and setup the system no worries with a 6 rad network. All works fine.

I have today tried to add the Polypipe UFH to the Evohome.

I bought a second BDR91 and wired it into the boiler with the original BDR91 via a junction box.

I added a new zone Kitchen with heating type Zone Valve and whilst the bind function with the second BDR91 appears to have worked I am not sure if it has worked as it says “press bind button on actuator”. I am using the evotouch as the sensor and it does appear to engage the boiler when I force a temp increase on the zone.

I would love any confirmation or not if this is how the UFH is meant to be added.

Thanks.

Maybe I've misunderstood, but why have you added a second BDR91 to the boiler? The second BDR91 should have been used to operate the Polypipe UFH pump/zone valve, not to trigger the boiler?
