BDR91 failing to trigger intermittently
BDR91 failing to trigger intermittently
Hi, as an 'early adopter' of Evohome back in 2014 we have grown used to some of its quirks (order ref 279!). However we've had a new one during the last couple of days. Everything works fine from the morning and during the day - working from home we have the heating on in the room we use as an office. Come early evening, the radiators in that room goes off and the kitchen and the lounge come on. However, although the controller and the HR92s on the radiators all show the correct temperatures (both current and target) which I understand would mean that they have all communicated successfully, the BDR91 is not triggered. No LED indicators are lit or flash and no errors show on the controller either. After leaving it for an hour or so with it still not working we've overridden it by pressing the button on the BDR91. Last night we needed to do that a couple of times as the first time it went off again after a few minutes despite the room temperature being 14deg and a target temp of 20deg. Any ideas on why this could be happening?

Quirks are a thing of the past thankfully... Have you tried re-calibrating the HR92's?marionmck wrote:Hi, as an 'early adopter' of Evohome back in 2014 we have grown used to some of its quirks (order ref 279!). Re: BDR91 failing to trigger intermittently
Hi,
I wonder did you find the reason for this problem?
We have exactly the same issue. It has happened 3 or 4 times in the last couple of weeks affecting two of the zones (individually).
The first couple of times I sorted it by randomly changing other zones and last time, I think, by switching on the hot water. The ch bdr91 switched on simultaneously.
My system was installed earlier this year.

Re: BDR91 failing to trigger intermittently
Hi
This is also the same issue I'm seeing. The BDR91 is showing green and you hear it click but it never triggers the boiler to fire up.
I did replace the BDR91 with a cheap dial thermostat to try and rule out a faulty BDR91 and this seemed to solve the issue. Ordered a replacement BDR91 and it's come back. Is recalibrating all the TRV (I have HR92 on all the rads) the way to go?
Regards
