Appreciate that. Warehouse doesn't normally miss much, but no point making excuses imho, just better to fix issues when they do (rarely) happen.adriankpope wrote:I have already received a delivery notification - thank you.
I always find it best to judge a company by how they react when things go wrong and you did not even break stride fixing the problem

Re: BDR91 stops asking for heat every 20 minutes
New, new BDR91 received, installed and bound. Very fast, thank you.
The return envelope is tracked, which normally requires to go via the post office (quite a way away). You mentioned popping the other one in the post box and I wanted to check if that was OK. If not, it will take a few days until I go near a post office.
I do not know if it is communicating yet since the demand is low and the green light should not be on but ...
The chap on the phone for honeywell said that this version would allow the switching to be reduced to 1 per hour. The settings only allow me to work in multiples of 3 i.e 3, 6 9 etc. Was he talking through his ear, is there something I missed, or is it not working properly ?
Cheers
Adrian

Just literally put it in the envelope and put it in your nearest post box... It will be fine.
What firmware do you have on your evohome Controller?
Thanks,
Richard

Thank you. I had hunted for 20 minutes to find how to update firmware and everything said it will come out automatically ... hmmmh.

Re: BDR91 stops asking for heat every 20 minutes
Yes but my timing was bad, asking at 1630 on a friday.
It is now set to ask for one cycle per hour but the heat pump seems to be cycling twice an hour. The system is set into the predictive mode, where it tries to work out how much of an hour it needs to be on for, but the house feels a degree or two colder than before and may not be coming on enough. I am leaving it to settle down, although I still cannot see how the Honeywell can predict how a heat pump on a compensation curve is going to work.
I would still prefer your idea of having a discrete buffer tank as a break in the system but our suppliers are talking to mitsi and we will see what they come up with
Cheers
