Evohome and uhf plus electric heaters
Evohome and uhf plus electric heaters
Hi. I have started a new project with renovation of an old conservatory. Plans are for ufh with local zone valve and pump triggered from single bdr91 plus a couple of electric panel radiators connected to a dpdt contractor triggered by another bdr91 for cold weather boost in the winter. Ufh and panel rads would be set up as individual zones and controlled by one wall mounted T87 stat. Idea would be to have uhf zone set at about 18 deg and the electric rads at 22 deg as trying to achieve 22 with uhf will take a while. Thoughts on this system and set up greatly appreciated. Thanks. Ian
Re: Evohome and uhf plus electric heaters
Hi Ian,
The two technologies are incompatible (slow steady state warm up of UFH and rapid response of electric radiators) and would confuse the fuzzy logic of the system. evohome doesn't like multiple different technologies in the same room.
If you design the UFH correctly, you shouldn't have to put anything else in there to heat it? If you must put electric radiators in there, keep them off the evohome system.
