CS92 Hot Water Sensor Binding

Hi all, I have had to reset the controller for stored hot water (disabled a previously enabled setup) and now cannot seem to get the CS92 sensor to bind!

It has brand new batteries in it as is mounted as it has been for the last 4 years, in the airing cupboard away from the tank. When doing either the Guided Config or System Devices -. Stored Hot Water route, when getting to the "Hot Water Sensor - Press BIND button on sensor" I cannot seem to get any further!

1) If I single press the button on the CS92 a solid green light comes on
2) If I single press again, it goes off
3) If I press and hold fo 5seconds, the light alternates between green and red
4) Whilst in this state a short press of the button does nothing
5) A slightly longer press of the button still does nothing
6) A 5 second press of the button turns the alternating LED off.

I have tried initiating step 3 after being in either state 1 or 2 (green LED off and on), no success at any point.

Sorry if I am missing something really silly, but can anyone help please? I have tried searching the forum without joy and the FAQ's link goes to a dead page, so couldn't use that either.

Ah, after all that I decided to take the batteries out and leave for 60mins. It worked (steps 3 + 4) fine after that.

So effectively, turn off and on again!

To bind the CS92A (as per page 16 of the evohome installation guide (pdf page 18) - https://thesmartthermostatshop.co.uk/in ... tachment=7) you press and hold for 5 seconds (to put the device into pairing mode) then when its blinking green and red, press once to send the pairing signal to the evohome controller.
