Dear all, I had my new Evohome system installed yesterday on a new boiler and this is my first post!
Apologies if these questions have been answered before, but I haven't yet mastered how the search function in this forum works (it keep rejecting any word I use).
So, we moved to a new house, and yesterday had a new boiler installed, together with the Evohome thermostat and 12 HR91 Radiator Controllers installed across 10 rooms (each room having their own zone). Except the toilet having a radiator without valve. Two rooms have two radiators each.
After two hours that the system was up and running I had a message from the fault logbook, presumably related to the failing of one of the HR91: "'Comms fault (room name) actuator. Please check the system or contact installer".
And now another room is doing the same. The valves can't read the temperature.
The messages where dated correctly. But during the night there have also been ten messages popping up in the logbook, dated as 01-01-2000 (instead of today's date/time), saying just "system fault, 00".
Now the screen/thermostat keeps beeping...
Do you know what these messages mean and what to do?
Another issue: on the phone app, I don't only see the 10 rooms/zone, but also an additional zone, without name, with a target temperature of 30C and an actual temperature of 62C.
Is this the boiler? or is it the only radiator -in the toilet- that doesn't have a controller valve (the installer said that this could work as a bypass for when the boiler cools down.
Could you enlighten me about why I see this only on the phone app, and not on the screen?
Thanks so much!
Chiara
issues with newly installed Evohome
Re: issues with newly installed Evohome
Hi,
It sounds like the system has not been setup correctly, as 'comms fault' refer to the communication failure between the evohome controller and the HR91.
If you contact tech support (number in my signature below) and choose option 3, the guys there will happily talk you through the issues and a resolve.

Re: issues with newly installed Evohome
Thanks. I have phoned and they are looking into it.
It seems that one of the radiator controller is faulty, so I will double check on another radiator to be super sure, and get in touch with the Shop.
Thanks for your support
