Does the Evo home work hot water with a combi boiler.
Would like just to be able to switch the water on/off remotely or even timer?
Cant seem to find an answer.
Combi hot water
Re: Combi hot water
The hot water functionality with evohome is designed to be used with a hot water cylinder, not a combi.

Re: Combi hot water
I've bodged a workaround for this, I have it as a heating zone that I set to 35 when I want the combi-HW on, or 5 when it is off. Seems to work.
Re: Combi hot water
This is not an ideal solution, as for instance the TPI rate changes for the rest of the system if using a BDR91 and if using an OpenTherm Bridge the bridge would be running the boiler at max flow temp, which is obviously wasteful for the sake of having the combi preheat controlled.paulrstaylor wrote:I've bodged a workaround for this, I have it as a heating zone that I set to 35 when I want the combi-HW on, or 5 when it is off.
