Hello
I am in the process of a full house renovation and have replaced our older system boiler with a WB 8000 Life Combi. Previously I had a BDR91 for hot water and a BDR91 for the rads. Do I still need two, or will all the hot water demands be sent through one BDR91?
Any tips on refitting the Evohome stuff into a new system?
Thanks
Jon
Boiler upgrade to Combi
Re: Boiler upgrade to Combi
Hi Jon,
I'm just replying to the open conversations on the group.
Unfortunately the only way to control WB boilers in the UK is with on/off switching BDR91 relay's. Not the best method to control boilers, but with that particular choice of combi its the only way. Obviously as you now have a combi, you only need one relay box to bring the boiler on for heating.
The best way to use evohome is with an OpenTherm boiler, as detailed on our forum here (viewforum.php?f=5).
I hope that helps.
