You need the firmware rolling back to 17.03 as 19.31 is beta firmware and buggy as hell! Contact Resideo asap on 0300 130 1299.

Hi I am having the same with my system. Just had it installed and my bedroom HR92UK is set to come on at 16.5° in the morning and 18° on the evening. I have optimum start set up and before the start time the system overrides itself and the temp goes up to 35° once the actual start time comes it goes back to the set temp. I have been on to customer services who sent me this message

And it is one of the HR92 radiator valves that is doing an override on its own every single day?

In order to fix this, please do the following 3 times consecutive:

At any hour and 5 minutes (f.ex. 12:05, 1:05) please remove the batteries from the HR92UK for couple of seconds and insert them back in.
Make sure to follow that procedure exactly at some hour and 5 minutes, to be able to reset the unit properly.

Kind Regards,
Victor

Now I am unsure if he means to do that on 3 consecutive hours i.e 19.05, 20.05 and 21.05 or do it on day 1: 19.05 day 2: 1905 and day 3 : 19.05. What would you lot say?

So I called Resideo yesterday, and the lady on the phone claimed the firmware can’t be downgraded and it updates automatically. But still asked me to send an email with the MAC address and registered email so her colleagues can look into this. I’m not hopeful. I did mention the advice came from you and I could almost hear the exasperation in her voice lol. Anywho... we’ll see what happens.

Edit; evohome just updated itself to 19.33. So I guess we’re out of the woods for now?

If your now on 19.33 then the issues will be resolved. 8-)

Indeed! No more 35c overrides, and optimum stop is now kicking in 30-60 mins before end of schedule. So far, so good. Thanks!

I’m seeing exactly the same issue with just one of my HR91s. I appear to be on 02.00.19.31. Do I have to just wait to receive a firmware update or can I request or force this somehow? If not, did anybody establish whether the “five past the hour” battery removal fix was for consecutive hours in one day or at the same time for three consecutive days??

Thanks for any help you can offer.

** UPDATE ** - I've now also noticed that the same HR91 is doing a similar thing when coming down to a lower temp as when increasing. So when increasing, target temp gets set to max set point, when reducing it goes to min setpoint (5 degC). I'm not sure how much of an issue this is in reality. Once it reaches the correct set temperature it sets the target correctly at that (i.e. it doesn't seem to overshoot) but does it make the boiler work any harder than it needs to??

As per page 1, if you are on 19.31 firmware this is buggy as hell, so contact 0300 130 1299 and get the new 19.33 firmware pushed through to the device. :geek:
