Intergas hr36/30 Evohome R8810 opentherm

Post by Jb1577 »

The first thing to say is sorry for my English.
I have an intergas hr boiler, a system with 12 zones evohome integrated wifi version with hr92 headers and the r8810 thermostat.
My boiler turns on and off constantly, I have played with the boiler parameters and I cannot make it work, even when the opentherm appears at 0% in the evotouch, the boiler turns on even though all the radiator valves are also closed at 0 %
I need help, I'm desperate.
It was mounted on the same system in my previous home but with a br91 thermostat and it worked wonderfully.
That modulation thing is driving me crazy.
Thanks in advance.
a greeting

Necesito ayuda, estoy desesperado.

It will be an RF comms issue with the OT Bridge or something not switching 100% off.

I also believe that because all the zones and the r8810 appear at 0% and the boiler does not turn off is not normal, also if I physically disconnect the r8810 the cashier if it turns off.
I have gotten another evotouch to rule out that, if it is not the reason I would only need to check the r8810 opentherm, but if someone who has had the same problem can better guide me where to look for the fault, I would be very grateful.
Thanks for the reply

The OpenTherm Bridge keeps doing what it was last told until it is told to do something else. If the 0% command doen't get through because of RF comms between it and the evohome Controller, it will carry on doing what it was doing last.

We have two OpenTherm systems setup here running on 17.03 firmware and they operate as expected.

Do you have any pictures of the installation?

And in this situation the boiler is always on with the radiator icon given and logically all the hr92 radiator valves closed

OK, why is the evohome Controller used as the sensor in this zone? Can I have a wide angle image of your R8810 please?

In all areas I use external thermostats (dts92) somewhat far from the radiators to get a more realistic reading of the room temperature (since the hr92 valves are attached to the radiators). In the "living room" area instead of a dts92 I use the evotouch itself.
I already had it configured like this in another house and it worked correctly with the bdr91 on / off thermostat, the problem has come when placing an identical system except for the opentherm r8810 thermostat.
Here I do not have images of the set, but I will send some as soon as I can.
Thank you

Gracias

OK, well I would go back to basics. Reset and setup just one zone with a HR92 and DTS92E. Get this working so you are happy first, then add another zone. It is painstaking this way, but only way you will find any errors.

I will reconfigure everything from scratch but this will be my fourth time.
I will use a new evotouch that I got from the installer.
I will comment on the results and if I have been successful.
Thanks and best regards
