Can anybody please tell me what, if anything, I should know about, or think about, this combination before deciding to go with it?
I apologise most sincerely for the open-ended, broad and vague nature of that question, and for not looking at any info already here on the forum, but the administrators have decreed that 'intergas' may not be searched for, so I'm left with no alternative.
Intergas Xclusive & Evohome
Re: Intergas Xclusive & Evohome
I do not recommend the intergas and evohome combination.
I have a brand new intergas hr36 / 30 boiler and the evohome with 11 zones with the r8810 opentherm relay. Impossible to make it work, continuous starts with all the zones above ser point, a continuous disaster.
The attendance in my country of sheep and honeywell is being pitiful, paying the buck to each other.
I bought a boiler of that brand because I asked the same question that you are asking and they answered me that the compatibility was full, much better than the one with viessman and what to say about the problems with vaillant.
Well, after placing that boiler despite the fact that my city's own technical service tried to dissuade me from doing it because it was little used, I can firmly say that it does not work.
Although in foris I have read that it is fully compatible, nowhere have I seen how the parameters of the boiler, the evohome, or any specific data should be configured.
Moreover, in this same forum two people report the same problem and today (despite having obtained contact with them privately) I do not know if they solved it or how they did it.
I think they gave up and put another system in place.
If I am wrong, I would be delighted if someone took my reason with data, not telling me that if you enter it works great with evohome.
Greetings and thank you.

Re: Intergas Xclusive & Evohome
Gracias.
The Intergas Xclusive is definitely going ahead - initially I am going to put a very basic single-zone control on it while I research options for more sophisticated controls. I've never (still don't) have any interest whatsoever in Home Automation as an end in itself, but I can see real advantages in better per-room heating schedule control, and who knows, with the new government incentive for smart controls they might even repay the investment.
But there are alternatives to Evohome, so if that is no good I will not be dismayed.

Re: Intergas Xclusive & Evohome
You are welcome.
Here in Spain there is no incentive for this new efficiency, and it was more a personal bet since in my previous home I had the evohome system installed with an on / off relay bdr91 that always worked wonderfully (there was a great difference in temperature between two parts of housing, north and south, and zoning saved me a lot of money on gas). When I moved, it seemed like a good idea to bet on the modulating boiler together with the opentherm (the perfect combination to be efficient) but time has made it clear to me that it has been a real mistake, not for not being able to improve efficiency, but because Today, at the gates of the meteorological deterioration, my system does not work, I can never make the Boiler stop, and the technical support of both technologies (intergas and honeywell, which both claim to be 100% compatible, have not given any answer).
The solution seems very difficult and expensive if nobody helps me, go back to a standard thermostat and standard thermostatic valves.
A disaster.
I hope you have more luck.
A greeting and thanks for your answer

Re: Intergas Xclusive & Evohome
Intergas Xclusive & evohome work just fine when the system is setup and operating correctly, and would be my recommendation.
