CS92A not updating temperature

CS92A not updating temperature

Would anyone know what is likely causing the hot water temperature to frequently not update. After changing the batteries the temperature will update and then after a while stop updating. If I power cycle (pulling the batteries out and then back in) then the pattern is repeated. Temperature updates for a while but then stops.

RF connectivity is good.
