Hi, I have an HR92 head that keeps dropping out of my system. It shows the low battery symbol which hasn't gone away after replacing the batteries with new sets of brand new batteries (twice).
I've also adjusted the tension on the battery contacts but this made no difference.
When it drops from the system it doesn't open the radiator valve either - not sure whether this is relevant.
Has anyone got any suggestions of what might be wrong or what I can do to rectify this? Or maybe I just need to replace this head (although that would be a bit annoying as the system is only 14 months old)? Thanks

I believe that you set the type of battery used in the HR92, that might be worth checking. Maybe something went wrong there.

Hi Bart, thanks but I'm not sure I understand - is there a way to set the head for different battery types? And if so, what different types of batteries are there? (I'm not very knowledgeable about batteries other than changing dead ones!) Thanks

Are you replacing with high grade alkaline batteries? Have you changed the battery type setting in the HR92 parameter menu?

Re: HR92 Low battery symbol even with new batteries
A mistake I have made is buying Duracell alkaline batteries from B&M. The Duracell SIMPLY range of alkaline is not suitable for just about anything more than a clock! They are cheap for a reason, I think in the old days these batteries would have been discarded.
