I am considering buying and installing evohome and had a certified installer out to advise but this has created more doubt and questions
My home: I have a 6 bedroom house.
Ground floor - Large, open plan kitchen/dinner. Living room. 3 small bedrooms. Bath room.
First floor - 1 large bedroom. 1 small bedrooms. 1 nursery. Bath room.
Aim: I would like to control the temperature of 4 rooms in particular whilst maintaining decent temperature in the remaining rooms.
Rooms to have thermostat would be - Ground floor: Living room. First floor: Large bedroom, nursery, bathroom.
My concern is that the rooms with thermostats will be heated correctly but the rest of the house could vary in temperature due to no thermostats installed and hence at the mercy of the other rooms temps.
What advice would anyone give to help ensure the rooms chosen are heated correctly without leaving the rest of the house cold.
I don't want to put thermostat in all rooms due to cost.
Should I consider heating a single room on each floor and hoping that maintains the rest of the room temps on that floor?
Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks
Iain
Zoning question
Re: Zoning question
Hi Iain,
If you are only doing partial zoning with HR92's(?), I would control everywhere you want to control and then operate 1x HR92 as the 'rest of house' zone. This way you do not need to overheat the zones you are controlling to get the rest of the system to demand.
I hope that helps.
Thanks,
Richard
