HCC80 zones and evo controller

Post by rvb99 »

We have a UFH system in a room with 6 physical circuits. This is connected to 6 manifold takeoffs, each with an actuator. I have wired 3 actuators to zone1 or the HCE80, 2 actuatiors to zone 2 and 1 actuator to zone 3. The pump take off from the HCE 80 is used to open a valve that feeds the UFH system (comprising mixer system and pump).

Now the difficult part. How do I bind these 3 HCE80 zones (ie 6 manifold actuators) to a single evo controller zone. I'm using a T87RF which I managed to bind OK, but then I did a bind on the HCE80 and it only binds the first zone, zone 1.

Any help / info greatly appreciated.

thanks
Richard
PS I bought all the kit from evohome shop. I registered in the forum to get customer support, but no topics show up and I get a permission denied. No sure what I'm doing wrong ?

so I can answer my own question . Yes you can bind multiple HCC80R ufh zones to a single evo controller zone. e.g if you had 5 actuators on the manifold for a single room you could use ufh zones 1 and 2. ie on the HCC80R you can physically plug in 3 actuators on HCC80R zone 1 and 2 actuators on HCCR80R zone 2. Now you need to bind both these HCC80R zones (1 and 2 for example) to a single evo controller zone.

With the more recent HCC80R devices*, after you have hit the green button on the evo controller to bind the first HCC80R zone to the evo controller zone, simply jump to the next HCC80R zone you want to add. To do this 2 pushes on the HCC80R unit bind button to skip to the next HCC80R zone - if necessary repeat the 2 pushes until you get to your desired HCC80R zone (green flashing light on desired ufh zone). Then hit the back arrow on the evo controller, and push the green bind button on the evo controller.
