Hi
I installed the Evohome system at the weekend and after a few teething issues I think its more or less working.
First question, I have a few radiators in the hallway, utility room, bathrooms that don't have thermostatic valves but want some way of ensuring these reach a reasonable temperature. The solution I settled on was to place the Evohome Controller in the hallway and create a zone with this as the thermostat, I selected Radiator Valve as the actuator but skipped the binding process. My thinking is that the Evohome will activate the heating relay without adjusting any valves.
Second question, On the iPhone app I have a phantom zone showing, I can set a temperature for the zone but it doesn't show a reading. This zone doesn't appear on the controller so I don't know whether its a bug in the app or whether its a zone for the other radiators mentioned above. Any info / experience on this is much appreciated.
Thanks
James
Zoning Questions
Re: Zoning Questions
I had a phantom zone on my app too; I contacted Honeywell via the Total Connect Comfort website and they resynced my account with the controller and it went away.
