Y87RF has no way to check the RF signal

All the other devices I have can signal the RF strength at their location. The Y87RF seems to have no menu option for this.

I am using one in a full Evohome system as a zone temperature sensor/controller and it works OK as a test setup with a rad valve but I want to locate the best position for both temperature control and signal level in a difficult room.

The signal strength on the T87RF is only displayed when the device is first 'bound'. This is the only way to check the device. I don't like this either if it is any consolation.
