You don't necessarily need to replace the valve in order to mount an HR91. Nine times out of 10, it'll fit direct or with an adapter, although I prefer to fit Honeywell valves anyway.

I get the random temperature overrides on HR80s and MT4 valves connected via BDR-91. Blasts of 35℃ are the latest joy to experience.
My Gen 1 Evohome was pretty flawless, but the new Gen 3 controller seems to be riddled with bugs.

I had this too when I swapped out the batteries (for Eneloop ones) - all the names had reset.
I wondered if it was because I set the names via the mobile app, so the controller hadn't properly saved them?
